Gardening Program

Our school garden program is incorporated into our fortnightly timetable with all students involved in the care of the school's produce garden.  Classes involve propagation, garden maintenance, outdoor craft and cooking.   A strong emphasis is placed on connecting our students to the food they grow with all being involved in the entire process of garden to plate.

A philosophy of  recycling, reusing and composting is maintained along with organic and permaculture principles that extends from our gardening through to garden craft and outdoor play.  The produce garden is also used as a teaching tool throughout the wider school curriculum bringing the classroom outdoors.
