Grade 3 and 4 Classroom

In the Grade 3 and 4 classroom we are learning to work more independently and collaboratively with our peers. We are creative and love to solve problems. We learn about our local community and how we can be involved in it. We love science and especially love looking after our pet Aurora.
 
In English we read a variety of texts for enjoyment and are becoming independent readers. We are continuing to work on our comprehension of what we read and are using texts as models in creating our own texts.

In Maths we are learning to use numbers up to and beyond 10,000. We are learning to add and subtract, as well as simple multiplication and division. We love using money to make transactions and are learning to give change. We are learning to use metric units of measurement and are learning to tell the time and use maps. We are learning to make graphs, use data and investigate chance.

We have a great time learning to be members of the Sassafras Primary School family.
